Schedule an Appointment With a Veneers Dentist Before the Holidays

As a veneers dentist, we can transform your smile in time for your holiday photos. Cosmetic dentistry has made it possible for us to correct the issues that you have with your smile by changing what you don’t like about your teeth. We can accomplish a variety of things, including closing gaps, covering dark stains, correcting chipped or cracked teeth, and even straightening them. The results are so amazing that your smile can look completely different when we are done. This is all while ensuring that your teeth are the right size and shape to appear completely natural.

If you are interested in getting started, schedule a dental exam so that we can clean your teeth and make sure that you are healthy enough for the procedure. If you have any cavities or signs of gum disease, we will want to address that before placing veneers onto your teeth. Likewise, if you only want veneers on a couple of teeth, we recommend that you have all of your teeth whitened first so that you will like your overall appearance

Once your teeth are healthy, we will take an impression of your mouth so that the veneers can be created in the right shape, size, and shade to match the surrounding ones. This is an important step in the process because the expertise of the dental lab technician influences how your smile will look when the process is complete. As a veneers dentist, we work closely with the lab to ensure that they are created to our exact specifications. The veneers themselves are a thin shell made of porcelain or ceramic. While very thin, it becomes the new surface of your teeth.

In order to prepare your teeth for the procedure, we will remove around a millimeter of enamel from their surface. We have to remove just enough so that when they are placed on top of your teeth, they don’t stand out or make your teeth look too large. During this part of the procedure, we will numb your mouth so that you won’t feel any discomfort. Afterwards, we will place a temporary set of veneers on top of your teeth in order to protect them. This will help with sensitivity but since they are held in place with removable glue, we recommend brushing your teeth softly and eating foods that won’t dislodge them.

After the dental lab is done, you will come back in so that we can remove the temporary set and bond the permanent ones to your teeth. As a veneers dentist, we will loosely attach the permanent ones so that you can see how they look prior to finishing the procedure. If you want any adjustments made we can do so at this time. Next, we will bond your veneers to your teeth for a permanent solution for correcting your dental issues. They are durable and look amazing so that you can still enjoy your favorite holiday treats. By scheduling a consultation now, you can enjoy your smile this holiday season and for years to come.
